First Day of Preschool!!!

Titus, Tyler and Mommy just hung out at home today waiting for Jackson and "EE!"

How can my sweet baby girl be ready for Preschool already?!  It seems like just yesterday, Chad and I were at Fairview Southdale delivering our baby!  Today, we were reminded how times flies as our "baby" went to her first day of Preschool!  She LOVED it there and can't wait to go back "tomorrow" (I keep reminding her she is going to have to wait until Monday to go back but I think she is hoping to just sneak in again tomorrow).  She loves her teachers, Miss Lisa and Miss Michelle and is really excited that Miss Lisa has a baby in her belly.  She did an art project, read a book, played outside and said a prayer before she left for home.  Hopefully she will always love school so much!

Evie and Jackson are in Preschool together!

Showing off her Westwood Backpack.  Not quite as cute as her own, but she loves that it's a big girl bag!

I love my school boots, Grandma Lucie!!!
Titus wanted to get in on the picture taking action!

Busy Summer Bees!!

Trip to the Como Zoo with Auntie Enie!
While Daddy's away, the Lundeens will play!  Chad left for Training Camp in Mankato 5 weeks ago and our calendar has been full ever since!  I don't know if it's Evie, Titus or me that always feels the need to be on the go, but it definitely helped to make the time go faster while Chad was away!  We are happy to officially have Camp over and Dad back home now!

Moments before the seal swimming jumped right up to the glass and gave Titus such a start that he fell backward onto his rear end!  I don't know if I have ever laughed so hard!

Enjoying the giraffes with Auntie Enie (her favorite animal there)!

With Chad home for a night, we joined our neighbors, the Bulls, at the Carver County Fair!  Titus loved all of the exotic animals, although he was not too sure what to think of the baby giraffe wanting to sniff him!  Evie went on her very first Ferris Wheel ride but did NOT enjoy her pony ride!  Titus took his tractor driving ride quite seriously and loved to honk the horn the entire time!  Doesn't Chad look comfy sitting next to him?!

Watching Evie, Daddy, Jackson and Krista on the Ferris Wheel!  Next year, buddy!

We also took two trips down to Mankato to visit Dad:  once with just ourselves on a spur of the moment morning visit and the next time with half of our neighborhood!
Our two favorite Chads at Training Camp!

Joe Webb, Titus, Chad and Evie conferring!

Evie giving Chad Greenway's helmet a try!  Get 'em, Eves!
We spent 6 days in Alexandri-ahhh visiting Bumpa and Grandma Lucie.  We enjoyed a boat ride in a pontoon with our friend, Quinn and her parents and grandparents.  But mostly, we enjoyed the pool!  Every morning, Evie, Titus, Mommy and Bumpa would get up, eat breakfast (normally Bumpa cooked...a nice treat for Mommy) and headed to the heated pool!  Evie put her swimming lessons to good use while Titus proved you don't need lessons to jump in head first!  We also spent a little time at the Golf Course (just Mommy and Evie, as Titus would have been a bit distracting)!  Bumpa played in the annual Resorter's Golf Tourney!  It wasn't his year, but Evie loved his binoculars, eating hot dogs and his golf cart and could have cared less how he played!

Exhausted after playing so hard!

National Night Out with McGruff the Crime Dog and our neighborhood friends!

Enjoying the Splash Pad at our favorite park:  Miller Park in Eden Prairie!  We love to pack a lunch, bring our suits and spend the whole morning here!

Celebrating Grandpa Dave's 69th Birthday with a monster cake (guess who picked it out?)!

Our besties, the Thousands also came for a brief visit!  We loved catching up with them and were reminded how much we miss having them in our neighborhood!

Evie "Gabby" Lundeen!  It's hard to tell who got more into the Olympics:  Mommy or Evie!

Here Fishy, Fishy, Fishy!!!!

After fighting the life jacket, Titus eventually fell asleep in Daddy's arms in it!
Here Fishy, Fishy, Fishy!  Yep, that's three fish because over the 4th of July, we had a blast watching three little fishes!  The first one was Evie Cate who we couldn't keep out of the water if we tried!  She loved to go down the slide into the water, then keep her head under and swim about 5 feet to Grandpa.  If she wasn't using the slide, then she would dive down to the bottom of the lake to grab a golf ball, or have Grandpa count while she kept her head under water (8 seconds was her longest time)!  She loved every minute of the water!  Our other cute fishy was Titus.  Although not quite as capable as Evie in the water, he loved going down the slide and also had no problem putting his face under to get a ball.  He is also a natural and can kick as well in the water as Evie (although can't quite move the way she can).  Titus loved spending time as well on anything that moved, especially Bumpa and Grandpa's boats.  He also loved Auntie Enie's kayak and Grandpa's 4-wheeler!  The third fishy was the Northern Chad caught while fishing with Grandpa Dave.  Although he was pretty ugly, the kiddos enjoyed seeing how big he was and especially liked setting him free again into the lake!   Quite a whirlwind week from Alex to Chaska to Merifield!  We loved every second of it and were thankful for great weather and family to celebrate with!  Evie is already looking forward to starting swimming lessons back up again in the fall!
